Prompt 7

February 7, 2020 by Deanna Repose Oaks

There will be no huffing and puffing today. There just won’t be any more house. There will not be any warning as I will not warn you. No matter how hard you look for a warning, you will not have it. Sometimes, you may think you have it (and you may even hide from me), but those weathermen are just trying to scare you by telling you what they think they know about me. Trust me, they don’t know me. They don’t know me at all.

I will tell you something though, because you asked. Sometimes I like to be hot and sometimes I like to be cold. I love running between the two, kind of like skiers in a spa in the winter. However, I hate lukewarm. I get really, really mad when the weather is just too even. I will stomp my feet and throw myself on the ground and do absolutely nothing until it gets either too hot or too cold, then I’ll start running between the two again.

Sometimes, I’ll run around in circles or play catch me if you can with houses. I am sure you have seen it, and I am sure you will see it again soon, very soon indeed.
